Rainforest Falls VBS Rally
Every detail was designed to welcome volunteers into the world of Rainforest Falls before Vacation Bible School even began.
The Vision
Preparations for Vacation Bible School begin long before the first child walks through the door.
This rally was designed to build anticipation while equipping volunteers with the information and encouragement they needed. Before training even began, we wanted them to catch a glimpse of the excitement they would soon create for hundreds of children.
Bringing the Theme to Life
Instead of simply decorating the room, we looked for opportunities to carry the Rainforest Falls theme throughout the experience.
Natural textures, tropical greenery, vibrant florals, butterflies, playful desserts, and intentional pops of color worked together to make each table feel like part of the rainforest itself. The result was an atmosphere that was fun, welcoming, and immediately immersive.

Beautiful gatherings aren’t just about how a room looks—they’re about how every detail serves the people in it.
Botanical Centerpieces
Designed with preserved moss, tropical greenery, a bird of paradise bloom, and delicate butterflies, each centerpiece introduced the rainforest setting while remaining low enough to encourage conversation across the table.
Individual Desserts
Rather than serving dessert from a buffet, every volunteer found a themed “dirt cup” waiting at their place. It became both part of the decor and an unexpected welcome.
A Balanced Color Palette
With a rainforest theme, it would have been easy to fill the room with bold color. Instead, we chose crisp white tablecloths as a quiet foundation, introducing tropical color through the napkins, centerpieces, and themed desserts.
The result felt bright, playful, and cohesive without becoming visually overwhelming, allowing the colorful details to stand out while giving the eye a place to rest.
